How to change default dictionary in IOS

Why Change Your Dictionary?

• Your language is not currently supported.
• You are not satisfied with the default dictionary.

Steps to Change the Dictionary:

1. Install afc2add:

   • Open Cydia on your device.
   • If you haven't already installed it, search for and install afc2add. This tool allows you to access the file system.

2. Navigate to the Dictionary Folder:

   • Use a file explorer tool (e.g., iTools or iFunBox) to access the following path:
     /var/mobile/Library/Assets/com_apple_MobileAsset_DictionaryServices_dictionary2

   • Inside this directory, you'll see a list of dictionaries. Open one of the folders and navigate to AssetData.
   • In the AssetData folder, you will find the dictionary name. Proceed to the Contents folder within it.
   • Delete the existing files in the Contents folder and replace them with the files of your intended dictionary.

3. Finding Dictionary Content:

   • You can obtain dictionary contents from various sources:
     • Some dictionary applications may provide the files.
     • Open-source dictionaries.
     • Other available resources.
